The John K. Wilson Foundation, established in November of 2021 by John's niece, Miranda Wilson, stands as a testament to the enduring legacy of John's life and values following his passing in August. His courageous battle against pancreatic cancer since 2020 inspired Miranda to create an enduring tribute. Guided by John's profound love for golf and fueled by his remarkable service spanning over three decades as a dedicated police officer, the foundation embraces his passions.
As a tribute to John's commitment, the JKW Foundation hosts an annual golf tournament, an event dedicated to honoring his love for the sport while raising funds. These contributions facilitate the foundation's primary mission: awarding a $2500 scholarship(s) annually to individuals aspiring to pursue careers in first responding. In this way, the foundation not only commemorates John's dedication but also propels his legacy forward by supporting and nurturing the next generation of community heroes.
